participation in the 2025 Arab Cup, the Jordan Football Association\u2019s president, Prince Ali bin Hussein, says, two days after he accused FIFA of \u2060blackmail.<\/p>\n<p>Ali criticised FIFA President Gianni Infantino after he backed out of his proposal to sell a stake in the World Cup and found himself under pressure from confederations and national associations, saying FIFA had offered for reaching the Arab Cup final in Qatar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you to the FIFA administration for suddenly this morning delivering what was owed to our players and coaching staff, for the Jordan National team\u2019s accession to the final of the FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar last December,\u201d\u00a0 Ali said on X on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was funding that should have \u2060been received eight months ago.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ali had <a href=\"\/sports\/2026\/8\/4\/jordan-fa-chief-accuses-fifas-infantino-of-blackmail-over-endorsement\">alleged FIFA verbally communicated<\/a> during the World Cup that backing the president \u201cwould go a long way to helping our FA out\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>FIFA did not respond to requests for \u2060comment on the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>Ali added that receiving the money was a welcome development but it would not change \u2060the concerns his organisation has about FIFA\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt \u2060is symptomatic of those exact difficulties that we all face and that are usually linked to the FIFA presidential elections,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd it does not change my clear position concerning the leadership of FIFA: my \u200cFA and I will not endorse President Infantino, nor will we vote for him.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"container--ads in-article-ads\">\n<div class=\"ads\"><span class=\"ads__title\"> Advertisement <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>FIFA apologised to its members for mistakes made over its abandoned proposal to \u200csell \u200ccommercial rights to the World Cup, but the body\u2019s leadership reaffirmed its support for Infantino after a crisis meeting in Morocco on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Infantino is seeking to extend his decade-long presidency into a fourth and final term in an
